Charleroi man’s death under investigation

The Washington County coroner is involved in the investigation of an incident in Charleroi.

Duvanet Esperance, 33, of Charleroi was pronounced dead at 10:14 p.m. Sunday in the emergency room at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital.

The incident happened about 9:38 p.m. Sunday. According to the coroner’s office, “the circumstances surrounding his death are being investigated, and his cause of death is pending at this time.”

Charleroi Regional Police are investigating.
