Virginia Grace Persuda – Caldwell, W.Va., formerly of Charleroi

Virginia Grace Persuda, 90, of Caldwell, W.Va., formerly of Charleroi, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 3, 2023. Born in Charleroi on July 28, 1933, Virginia was the daughter of the late Louis and Evelyn Brand Paoly. Catholic by faith, Virginia was a former member of Saint Andrew the Apostle – Charleroi site (formerly known as Mary Mother of the Church). Surviving to cherish Virginia’s memory are her daughters, Diane (Walter) Sheffler of Latrobe and Janet (Kenneth) Miller of Caldwell, W.Va.; and her grandchildren, Brandon Sheffler, Heather (Cody) McMaster, Desiree Sheffler, Sarah Miller, Adam Miller and Andrea Miller. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Persuda; her brother, Edward Paoly; and her infant great-grandson, Theo McMaster. Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023, at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023, at Saint Andrew the Apostle – Charleroi site, 624 Washington Ave., Charleroi. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela.
