Paula Ann Phillips – Charleroi

Paula Ann Phillips, 70, of Charleroi, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 28, 2023. Born on March 16, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Josephine White. She was Catholic by faith and was a retired transportation driver for Mon Valley Hospital. She was formerly the steward of the Donora Spanish Club and ran the old Bentleyville Truck Stop with her mother and worked at several restaurants in the Valley. She loved to cook and bake and was a pet lover, especially dogs and cats ,and was also an avid Steelers and Notre Dame football fan. She was a 1971 graduate of Charleroi High School and was a life member of the Charleroi Russian Club and a member of the Charleroi American Legion. Paula is survived by her husband, James Phillips; son, Pete White (Ashley Blackburn) of Charleroi; stepchildren, Michelle McClain, Jennifer Phillips and Jason Phillips, all of Pittsburgh; several grandchildren and cousins; and her beloved pets, dog Steelleah and cat Selena. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, at CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director. A blessing service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the funeral home followed by interment in Calvary Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.spallinofuneralhome.com.
