Lyda “Jane” (Milliern) Tantlinger, of Monongahela, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in her home. Born in Webster, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Weaver) Milliern. Jane was a 1947 graduate of Monongahela High School and attended Community College of Allegheny County’s nursing program. She worked for many years as a secretary/receptionist for Dr. Vern Pierce and Dr. Stiddard Chiropractic in Donora. Jane was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Monongahela, where she was a deacon and taught Bible school. She was a member of the Monessen Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star #205, past Matron and held several appointments. She was also a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, where she was past worthy High Priestess. Jane is survived by a son, Randy H. Tantlinger of Monongahela; a daughter and son-in-law, Erica Tantlinger-Gregorini and husband Victor of Washington; sister-in-law, Carol Milliern of Monongahela; nephew, Arthur (Sue) Milliern; a niece, Tara Milliern-Vargas and wife BiBi Vargas; and a great niece, Brianna Milliern. Preceding her in death were her husband, William Howard, who died Nov. 3, 2010; and two brothers, Arthur “Sonny” and Robert L. Milliern. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-676, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Friends and family are asked to go directly to First Presbyterian Church, 609 Chess St., Monongahela, on Monday for services beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Woomer officiating. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth. The Order of the Eastern Star and White Shrine of Jerusalem will conduct services in the funeral home at 7 p.m. Sunday.
