Malcolm L. Stoy – Monongahela
Malcolm L. Stoy, 82, of Monongahela, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020, at Monongahela-Valley Hospital. Malcolm was born Aug. 12, 1938, in Finleyville and was the son of Clarence “Fred” and Pauline Seman Stoy. A 1956 graduate of Monongahela High School, Malcolm worked for over 30 years as a pipe fitter for Corning Glass in Charleroi until his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, stationed aboard the U.S.S. Massey and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Monongahela. He enjoyed listening to music and playing the guitar and trombone. Surviving are his wife, Mary Lou McDonald Stoy; two sons, David Stoy (Dawn) of Monessen, and Howard Stoy of Delmont; two daughters, Laurie Stoy of Monongahela, and Maureen (Brent) George of Greensburg; a brother and sister-in-law, David (Susan) Stoy of Columbiana, Ohio; a sister, Helen Stoy of Gastonville; five grandchildren, Justin and Benjamin Stoy, Rebecca (Nick) Vingas and Samantha and Jeffrey George; and a great-grandson, Matthew Vingas. Preceding him in death was his stepfather and stepsister. A family viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Dec. 30. 2020, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 136 Sacred Heart Rd., Monongahela, with a service beginning at noon with Scott Frederick officiating.
