Residents escape West Mifflin fire
Two people were able to get out of the Sylvan Avenue home without injuries.
Two people escaped a fire that broke out at a West Mifflin property early Friday morning.
Firefighters responded to a fire at a rental property on Sylvan Avenue around 12:30 a.m., according to our news partners at WTAE. Officials told WTAE that the two people made it out of the home safely with no injuries.
There was damage to the back of the home from the flames, and it is unclear how the fire started.
The Allegheny County fire marshal is investigating the incident.
White Oak fire is under investigation
A structural fire occurred Friday afternoon in the 2100 block of California Avenue White Oak.
The fire is being investigated by the Allegheny County Fire Marshal.
All occupants were secured from the structure, and the Salvation Army was at the scene.
