SURE retirees support 8th Avenue Place
Westinghouse SURE (Service Uniting Retired Employees) is committed to supporting a range of charitable organizations with emphasis on those that provide food and other services to people in need. One of the many recipients this year is 8th Avenue Place in Homestead, which provides care for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of hundreds of Steel Valley residents. To support those efforts, SURE recently made a donation to 8th Ave Place. Accepting the check from SURE member Vaughn Gilbert of Elizabeth Township (third from left) is Pastor Keith C. Kaufold, who founded 8th Avenue Place 18 years ago. Also pictured are 8th Avenue staff members Erick Meadows and Keisha Becoate, who coordinates women’s ministries. Through its feed the hungry program, Westinghouse SURE contributed $55,000 in 2025 to 33 charitable organizations. Submitted
