A Donora native has announced he will seek the 14th Congressional seat currently held by U.S. Rep. Guy Reschenthaler.

Alan Bradstock, a Democrat, will challenge Reschenthaler, R-Upper St. Clair, for the district that includes all of Washington, Greene and Fayette counties, as well as most of Indiana, Somerset and Westmoreland counties.

A Desert Storm veteran and former FBI agent, Bradstock said his campaign will focus on “restoring character, competence and civility to government; creating an economy that works for everyone; and ensuring that every community in western Pennsylvania has a voice in Washington.”

He plans to host a campaign kickoff event at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Washington Trust Building, 6 S. Main St., Washington, Pa. He will also host a series of meet-andgreet events across the district in the coming weeks, offering voters a chance to meet Bradstock and hear his vision for Pennsylvania’s future.

“I’ve dedicated my adult life to serve my country, my community, and to do what’s right,” Bradstock said. “Now, I’m stepping forward to bring integrity, accountability and common sense back to Congress. It’s time we find common ground so we can solve problems, not create them.”

Bradstock said he brings a distinguished record of public service and private-sector experience to his campaign. After serving honorably in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot and deploying to Operation Desert Storm, he spent 20 years with the FBI and later as a contractor supporting the U.S. Intelligence Community.

He also worked as a KPMG auditor and independent financial adviser, earning a reputation for professionalism and integrity.

A “proud” graduate of Ringgold High School and Washington & Jefferson College, Bradstock was recently inducted into the Washington & Jefferson Athletics Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding achievements as a student- athlete and his continued contributions to the college community.

He said his campaign will prioritize strengthening the working class economy, supporting veterans, protecting Social Security and Medicare and defending the rights and freedoms of every Pennsylvanian.

“Washington has enough career politicians and political games. What we need are people who understand sacrifice, service, and hard work,” Bradstock added. “That’s what I bring to the table, and that’s what I’ll fight for every day.”

Reschenthaler has been the U.S. representative for Pennsylvania’s 14th congressional district since 2019 and was previously a member of the Pennsylvania State Senate, representing the 37th district. He served as a district judge, and in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG) during the Iraq War.
