Warriors top WPIAL champion

Julia Resnik hit a three-run homer in a four-run fourth inning to lead Elizabeth Forward over defending WPIAL Class 3A champion Avonworth at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando on Saturday. Resnik finished 2 for 3 and Shelby Telegdy picked up the win in the circle and went 2 for 3 at the plate with a double and RBI for the Warriors (2-0).
