John A. Imbrogno peacefully left this world and was promoted to glory on Jan. 21, 2023. John was born on Dec. 21, 1953, to John L. “Midnite” and Irene E. Pehonsky Imbrogno. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Nancy. John’s strong spirit and heart of gold enabled him to make a friend in everyone he met. John was an active member of the community as an honorary Monessen volunteer fireman, ARCDD member and Eagle Scout. John was an avid bowler, golfer, swimmer and multi-time medalist in the Pennsylvania Special Olympics. John worked at Rego’s, Taco Bell and retired after 19 years at Eat’n Park restaurant in Monongahela. He loved to travel to South Carolina and Aruba with family, watch WWE Wrestling, play with his dogs and was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. John was a loving brother to Nancy (Mark), Patty (John), Gary (Cindy) and Jeffrey (Sally); uncle to Rebecca (C.J.), Mark (Esther), Joshua (Taylor), Christopher (Gina) and Zachary; and great uncle to Sofia, Juliana, Uma, Nora, Ava, Ruth and Amy. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday Jan. 23, 2023, at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, in the funeral home, with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Entombment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum, Monessen. The Imbrogno family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent in John’s memory to Association for the Rights of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (ARCDD-Mon Valley) c/o Jacky Stark, 316 Skyline Drive, Rostraver Township, PA 15012.
