He was preceded in death by 11 siblings. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruby (Redd) Romito; and sisters, Gloria (Albert) Doty of Pittsburgh and Elaine (William) Niccolai of New Eagle. He was the loving father of Patty (Joe) Smith of Charleroi, Donald (Victoria) Romito Jr. of Toledo, Ohio, Albert (Tammi) Romito of Maumee, Ohio, and Dana (George) Galis of Houston, Pa. He coached grade school basketball for the Mother of Sorrows Parish for 30 years. After retirement, he drove the patient van for the Mon Valley Hospital for 15 years. He was a proud member of the Italian American Society of Washington County. He made many lifelong friends through his passion for family and work. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers of Cambridge Hillside, Cambridge Creekside and Caring Hospice Services for their gentle care.
