Robert H. McCracken – Rostraver Township

Robert H. McCracken, 76, of Rostraver Township, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2021. Born in West Elizabeth on June 7, 1945, he was the son of the late Betty Egolf Atkinson. Robert was a maintenance supervisor at Koppers. He was also a bus driver for Mon Valley Transit and Edenfield Bus Lines. He loved watching sports, especially the Steelers and Penguins. Robert was very proud that he had honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Dawn R. (Dan Ewing) McCracken of Monongahela; son, Dr. Robert G. (Toni) McCracken of Monongahela; grandchildren, R. Grant McCracken, Kylie McCracken, Morgen McCracken and W. Flynn McCracken; siblings, Dwaine Atkinson of Elizabeth, Wendy Todd of Colorado and Jay Atkinson of Jefferson Hills. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Saundra L. Harbaugh McCracken; and sister, Diane Weinstein. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jude Urso officiating. Following the service, military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Navy. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
