Arthur DuCarme, 99, of Elizabeth Township, passed away on Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, at Grandview Estates, Elizabeth Township. He retired in 1980 as a steelworker with National Tube in McKeesport. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA). Born Aug. 31, 1921, in Gastonville, he was a son of the late Arthur and Lillian Heil DuCarme and husband of the late Charlotte E. Church DuCarme. He is survived by sons, Douglas DuCarme of Elizabeth Township and Joseph DuCarme of Elizabeth Township; stepson, William Howden of Elizabeth; six step-grandchildren; numerous step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters and a stepson, James Howden. Friends will be received at PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, Elizabeth, from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Susan Hans officiating. In order to comply with COVID-19 restrictions, guests are required to wear masks and follow CDC social distancing guidelines. You may be asked to limit your visiting time so that all guests will have an opportunity to pay their respects. The family would like to express their understanding to those who are unable to attend due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
