Julie Mujic has a hard time pinpointing exactly why she loves Civil War history. She originally became interested in history in general because one of her grandfathers served in World War II and the rest of her grandparents lived through the Great Depression.
“The Civil War history in particular, I think I was attracted to the overall story of the significant change in our history,” Mujic said.
Mujic will give a presentation titled “When a Copperhead Loves an Abolitionist” at 7 p.m. Thursday at California University of Pennsylvania’s monthly Civil War Roundtable at the school’s Kara Alumni House.
Mujic, 40, a Westerville, Ohio, resident, teaches in the global commerce program at Denison University. She completed a bachelor’s in accounting and operations management, but decided to follow her passion for history when pursuing her master’s and doctorate degrees.
