‘Mr. Natali’ was a California legend

Anyone who has a connection to California University of Pennsylvania knows who Elmo Natali was.
Even if you did not know him personally, you knew his name. That’s because Elmo Natali was California University.
I went to Cal for my junior and senior years of college (1979-80). My relationship with him was kind of in the middle. I knew him somewhat as I often saw him around campus and chatted with him a few times even after my college days were over. But, for certain, I definitely knew of him.
His legendary status at the university preceded itself.
