Pittsburgh International Airport continues to expand its roster of destinations.

The latest addition comes from budget carrier Breeze Airways, which will launch seasonal nonstop service to Myrtle Beach beginning July 3.

“We are excited to now offer Myrtle Beach as a destination for our Pittsburgh guests,” Breeze Airways founder and CEO David Neeleman said Monday. “This new nonstop gives travelers an easy and affordable way to enjoy one of the East Coast’s most popular beach destinations.”

It will take about 90 minutes for Breeze’s 137-seat Airbus A220-300 to depart from Pittsburgh and land in coastal South Carolina every Monday and Friday. Breeze already offers flights from PIT to South Carolina, including to Charleston and Greenville/Spartanburg international airports, and the airline also announced service to Louisville, Ky. earlier this year.

Breeze also moved up its first scheduled Louisville flight to April 30 to coincide with the Kentucky Derby on May 2.

Breeze is now set to have 15 nonstop destinations from Pittsburgh, up from four when it first entered the local market in 2021. Only Southwest has more at 21. Breeze’s nonstop connection to the popular resort city joins existing Myrtle Beach routes flown by Southwest, Allegiant Air and Spirit Airlines.

After years of declining traffic following the end of PIT’s years as a U.S. Airways hub, the airport rebounded in 2024 with its highest number of travelers since 2006.

In 2025, as the airport finished a completely rebuilt landside terminal, that number fell slightly to 9.82 million passengers.

The airport entered 2026 with plans for new nonstop flights to Ireland, Los Angeles, and Destin-Fort Walton Beach, Fla.

Tickets for the new route are now on sale.
