Charles W. Bloom Sr. – Donora, formerly of Elco

DONORA, FORMERLY OF ELCO Charles W. Bloom Sr., 90, of Donora, formerly of Elco, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, in his home. Born Jan. 15, 1935, in Greensboro, he was the son of the late George E. and Mary L. Dayton Bloom. From the age of 15, Charles loved working on cars. He was the service manager at the former Montgomery Ward until their closing, and then worked at Rotolo’s Chrysler and Jeep in Charleroi as a mechanic until his retirement at age 75. Chuck had a love for all varieties of cars and enjoyed working on them. He was a Methodist by faith. Chuck enjoyed fishing and collecting guns and coins. He is survived by three children, Melissa Stockman of Donora, Charles (Janis) Jr. of Emmitsburg, Md., and Michael E. (Debbie) Bloom of Greencastle; a brother, John Bloom of Roscoe; a sister, Pearl Kennedy of Hopwood; four grandchildren, Michael (Tonia) Bloom, Alan and Danielle Booth and Brandon Bloom; three great-grandchildren, Annie, Maddie and Tenzyn Bloom; and a sisterin- law, Mary Grace Bloom of Monongahela. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Booth, who died in 2015; three brothers, Joseph, who died during World War II, and James and Vernon Bloom; and a granddaughter,
