The Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office confirmed to WTAE-TV that crews were looking for a murder weapon allegedly used to kill Seibert, 24.
Seibert was found shot in her Rostraver Township home back in April.
In May, Dorian Jeri-Green was arrested in Florida on unrelated burglary charges. He was later charged with homicide in connection with Seibert’s death. He’s since been extradited to Pennsylvania and is awaiting trial.
As of press time, it’s unclear whether investigators found the weapon during their search on Friday.
