Joseph A. Mannina Jr. – Dunlevy

Joseph A. Mannina Jr., 87, of Dunlevy, passed away Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, at AHN Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Hills. Born Aug. 17, 1938, in Brownsville, he was the son of the late Joseph Mannina Sr. and Nellie Bondi Mannina. Mr. Mannina was a member of St. Andrew The Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Charleroi and retired from Wheeling- Pittsburgh Steel in Allenport, where he worked as an electrician. In earlier years, he built and operated Joe’s Twin Twist ice cream shop in Dunlevy and was very handy around the house, being a jack of all trades. When he played football for the Cougars he was nicknamed “Joe the Toe” for his kicking abilities. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by wife, Frances Pollifroni Mannina, to whom he was married 64 years; daughter, Carla Sevcik of Carroll Township; son, Joseph Mannina III of Chartiers Township; daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Kevin Borkowski of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Michelle and Penny Sevcik, Dylan and Abby Borkowski, Shannon Borkowski, Jacqueline Mannina and Gianna Mannina; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Borkowski; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rose Carson; brother, James Martino; daughterin- law, Elaine Mannina; and son-in-law, Michael Sevcik. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of transfer will be held at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew The Apostle RC Church, Charleroi.
