Eugene Louis Perry – Formerly of Donora

FORMERLY OF DONORA Born on Jan. 18, 1944, in Donora, Eugene proudly served his country in the United States Navy in New London, Conn., and Long Beach Calif. After completing his military service, he moved to Los Angeles, Calif., where he raised his two daughters, Lisa Perry Catagnus and Susan Perry. Eugene began his professional career with General Motors and served as a union representative during his tenure there. His passion for learning and helping others inspired him to pursue higher education at Immaculate Heart College and earn a master’s degree in clinical psychology from California State University, Northridge. Throughout his life, Eugene called California home for most of his years. He also resided in Denver, Colo., Las Vegas, Nev., and Boca Raton, Fla., (to be near his family). Most recently, he relocated to Doylestown, along with his daughters. A military service honoring Eugene’s life will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA, 18940, at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, Please arrive at the cemetery gate at 9:45 a.m. Eugene will be remembered as a devoted father and a man of purpose and integrity. His daughters know they were loved and loved him dearly. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Perry; daughter, Lisa (Perry) Catagnus; son-in-law, Joseph Catagnus; grandsons, Brandon and Jake Catagnus; and his beloved youngest daughter, Susan Perry. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
