Debra Lynn Battle, 66, of McKeesport, died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023, in her home. She was born May 15, 1957, in North Charleroi, daughter of Estella M. Fernandez Kesling of Donora and the late James T. Cuthbert. Debra earned her optician certification from the Western School of Health and Business. She was employed at the Walmart Vision Center in West Mifflin and Washington. She enjoyed riding her bicycle and loved animals. Debra always had a smile on her face. She is survived by two daughters, Dana Harper of Donora, and Lynzi Battle of Parksburg; son, Stewart Battle of Monongahela; seven grandchildren, Christeena, Tohj, Zachary, Rion, Alexis, Jemmah and Faith; two great-grandchildren; sister Jamie Cuthbert, K.T. Tinney of Pittsburgh; brother, Jason (Jennifer) Cuthbert of Pittsburgh; and her best friend, Richard Similo. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Cuthbert. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela. Inurnment will be private in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. Memorial contributions may be made to Washington Area Humane Society, P.O. Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
