Carmine, known as “Carmy” to his friends, was born on May 15, 1927, in Monongahela, son of the late Guiseppe and Assunta Fidanzato. He was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Navy/Coast Guard. He worked as a regional manager for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company before retiring and moving to Florida in 1992. Left to cherish his memory are his four children: daughter, Marcia Boyd; son, Richard and daughter-in-law, Bernie Fidanzato, who he loved like his fifth child; daughter, Gina Carpenter, with whom he resided at the time of his death; and son, Daniel Fidanzato. Also surviving are his five grandchildren, Richard (Anne) Fidanzato, Toni Fidanzato, Jeff Boyd, Nicholas Carpenter and Andrea Moore; and five great-grandchildren, Marcus Girard, Riley Fidanzato, Liam and Giada Carpenter and Niko Moore. His sister, Ann Todora, also survives along with many nieces and nephews, including Carol Flament, who held a very special place in his heart.
