Gallatin Sunnyside VFD welcomes new truck to its fleet

After more than two years, Gallatin Sunnyside Fire Department finally has a new truck in operation.
On Saturday, the Forward Township-based department added a new multi-purpose engine to its squad, and it will be used on nearly every call.
Capt. Brandan Newman said the department had a 1968 Kaiser Jeep 5-Ton 6×6 brush truck, but it has not been used as much as it could have been in the past few years because of it’s manual transmission and general wear and tear.
