Peter Hrycko – Rostraver Township

Peter Hrycko, 97, of Rostraver Township, died Friday, July 15, 2022. Born in Monessen on March 11, 1925, he was the son of the late John and Katherine (Yonik) Hrycko. Peter retired from the Monessen Southwestern Railroad. He enjoyed gardening and watching sports on TV, and he especially loved being at home doing his normal daily routine. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is survived by his sons, Robert Hrycko of Johnstown, Steve (Carol) Hrycko of McClellandtown and Peter (Tammy) Hrycko of Rostraver; granddaughters, Courtney Hrycko and Kaitlyn Hrycko; brother, Anthony Hrycko of San Antonio, Texas; and sister, Susan Doman of Charleroi. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Florence (Czerwinsky) Hrycko; and siblings, John, Mike, Joe, Mary and Ann. Private funeral services with the Rev. David J. Nazimek officiating and interment with military honors will be held Monday, July 25, 2022, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to JAMES C.
