Pauline L. Filiano – Elizabeth Township

Pauline L. Filiano, 87, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 12, 1935, in Holidays Cove, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Huha) Donofe. She was the wife of Charles J. Filiano for 67 years. She was a member of the former St. Denis Church in Versailles, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and Mary, Mother of God-Parish. She was a member of the Ladies of Charity, the Christian Mothers and a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxillary of Greenock Firehall. Pauline loved her family, grand pets, especially Mando, and great-grand pets. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Joseph Filiano and his wife Linda, Marian Gugala and her husband Stan, Cathy Feryus and her husband Jeffrey, and Linda Meyers and her husband Jim; grandchildren, Tony and his wife Ashley, Bob and his wife Leah, Gina and her husband Nick, Tessa and her husband Ethan, Matthew and his wife Axie, Jacob and his wife Rachael, Jennifer, and Timothy; great-grandchildren, Noah, Leo, Matteo, Max, Jack, Gracie and David; sister-in-law, Louise Donofe; cousins; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph (the late Gerry) Donofe and Steve Donofe; and brother-in-law, Vito (the late Virginia) Filiano. Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2022, with a Rosary service at 3 p.m. at GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, Inc., 6028 Smithfield St., Boston, Elizabeth Township, 412-751-5000, Drew J. Gilbert, Director. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mary, Mother of God – St. Patrick Site at 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2022. Interment will follow at Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park, Inc., North Huntingdon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Pauline’s name to The DePaul School for Hearing and Speech at 6202 Alder St, Pittsburgh, PA 15206 or to your favorite charity.
