Mary Jane Gavaghan Sutts, 76, of Finleyville, Union Township, passed away on April 11, 2022, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. Born Sept. 25, 1946, in Monongahela, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Cowan Gavaghan. Mary graduated in 1964 from Monongahela High School and in 2008, she started working as a waitress at Eat’n Park in South Park, where she continued working until her retirement. Surviving are her husband of 39 years, Frank L. Sutts Sr., whom she married Oct. 21, 1982; four daughters, Shelly Wilson of Warren, Christi (Larry) Haffly of Cranberry Township, Jodi Brooks (Brian) of Bellevue and Lisa Sutts of Monongahela; a son and daughter-in-law, Frank (Amy) Sutts Jr. of Monongahela; a brother, James (Susan) Gavaghan of Carroll Township; a sister, Colleen Christy of Warren, Pa., and a brother and sister-in-law, Ernie (Joanne) Sutts of Monongahela; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Charlton, who died as a child; and a grandson, Jayme Snodgrass. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Entombment will be held in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
