Darlene Mary DuBarr Marraccini, 82, of Raleigh, N.C., died Wednesday, March 23, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born March 1, 1940, the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Harvey Dubarr. Darlene graduated from Charleroi High School in 1959. She married the love of her life, Richard E. Marraccini of Monongahela, on July 8, 1961. The couple moved to Long Island, N.Y., where they raised their two sons, and in 1987 moved to Raleigh, N.C. Darlene’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her friends and her dog, Cinnamon. Darlene is survived by two sons, Jerry Marraccini and wife Cathy of Clayton, N.C., and Don Marraccini and wife Ann of Roxboro, N.C.; three grandchildren, Richard Marraccini and wife Mary, Alexis Marraccini and Kristina Marraccini; great- grandson, Maxwell Marraccini; and sister-in-law, Rosella DuBarr of Charleroi, who was her best friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her brother, Winfield DuBarr of Charleroi; her sister, Lois Jean “Jeannie” Robbins of Warren, Ohio; and her in-laws, Oriente and Marie Pasquinelli Marraccini of Monongahela. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2022, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022, with the Rev. Mark Woomer officiating. Inurnment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her church, Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church, 6702 Leesville Road, Durham, NC 27703 or Saving Grace Animals for Adoption NC, P.O.
