Lawrence ‘Larry’ Maraldo – Charleroi

Lawrence “Larry” Maraldo, 79, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully on Sept. 27, 2021, at home with his family by his side. Born in Pittsburgh on Sept. 2, 1942, Larry is the son of the late Dominic and Marina DelBianco Maraldo. A member of the Living Room Church in Webster, Larry was a Pittsburgh police officer from 1967 until his retirement in 1987. He is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Pleasant Hills Masonic Lodge 380. He belonged to the Charleroi Senior Center and the Senior Center bowling league, where he bowled a perfect game. He was a longtime active member of the Mon Valley YMCA and proudly served on the board for Head Start in Charleroi. Larry and his wife, Toni, spent many years traveling with the Hill Billy Band, he enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, but what meant most to Larry was spending time with his beloved family. Surviving to cherish Larry’s memory are his wife of 54 years, Antoinette “Toni” Tabaka Maraldo; his children, Lisa (Roger) Lee, Lawrence “Larry” (Lori) Maraldo II, Laurie Maraldo, Leah Maraldo and Lorina (Brandon) Rialti; and his grandchildren, Damian, Daniel, Sean, Charlene, Joey, John, Theo, Gabryelle, Aiden and Luca. Larry also has four great-grandchildren, Charlie, Willow, Thorne and Zack. Larry is preceded in death by his parents. Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 at SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral services will begin at noon in the funeral home with Pastor Henry Frain officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrock-hogan.com.
