Anthony ‘Mooch’ Muccino Sr. – Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township

Anthony “Mooch” Muccino Sr., 89, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, at Canterbury Place, Pittsburgh. Born July 31, 1932, in North Charleroi, he was the son of the late Rocco and Nunziata Galuppo Muccino. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 50 years, Mr. Muccino was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Monessen plant, where he worked as a heaterman and was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army. Mooch enjoyed duckpin and regular bowling, crossword puzzles and was an avid sports fan, watching his children and grandchildren play sports. His greatest love was spending time with his family. He is survived by his six sons and four daughters-in-law, Anthony and Jancy Muccino Jr. of North Belle Vernon, Jeff and Kristin Muccino of Canonsburg, Dan and Nora Muccino of Monongahela, Frank Muccino of Rostraver Township, Paul and Ashley Muccino of York and Tim Muccino of Rostraver Township; eight grandchildren, Daniel Muccino, Kaitlin Hensel, Noah Muccino, Paul Muccino Jr., Meila Muccino, Tayo Muccino, Ausalena Muccino and Lauren Braszo; four great-granddaughters, Ava Marie and Lilah Jane Hensel and Rylee and Lexi Braszo; sister-in-law, Irene Muccino; and his pet dogs, Blue and Sissy. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kathleen “Kathy” McKee Muccino on April 8, 2009; infant daughter, Anna Marie Muccino; two brothers, Mario “Mooch” Muccino, Joseph A. “Mooch” Muccino; and a granddaughter, Olicia Rose Hensel. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, in the funeral home, followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael J.
