Sara J. Flora Malaga – Belle Vernon

Sara J. Flora Malaga, 96, of Belle Vernon, passed away Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021. She was born July 11, 1925, daughter of the late Ross and Carrie Basile Flora. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George “Sam” Malaga; her son, George D. Malaga; her brother, Jack Flora; and her sister, Thelma Raboci. Sara was a member of St. Sebastian Church, Belle Vernon and worked at Valdiserri’s Bakery. She is survived by her daughter, Patti Malaga Youngerman of Jeannette; grandchildren, Bethany (Jason) Rayman of Greensburg, Jason (Erica) Youngerman of Irwin and Tonya Malaga Robinson of Philadelphia; five great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Cindy Malaga; and nieces and nephews. Sara spent the last one and a half years of her life at Transitions, North Huntingdon, and her family would like to express special thanks and appreciation to the staff for their care and compassion. Friends will be received from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, at WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 521 Main St., Irwin, 724-863-1200.
