By obits

Virginia Lois Dominico, of Levittown, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at the age of 88. Born in Monessen, Pa., Mrs. Dominico was the daughter of the late Virginia (Mark) and William J. Brown. She was an original homeowner in the North Park section of Levittown for many years and was crowned Mrs. North Park in 1954. She was a member of the former Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, Fallsington and actively participated in church activities, forming strong bonds with her new neighbors. Mrs. Dominico was employed at her favorite store, Macy’s, and during her career spent more money there than she earned. She was a member of the Falls Township Ladies Golf Association, but enjoyed the luncheons more than golfing. Lois was very social and had many interests. She spent her spare time reading, playing cards and taking trips to the casino. Lois had a great sense of humor and made friends easily. She was kind and loved life. Mrs. Dominico was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Carmen C. Dominico. She was the loving mother of Carmen W. and his wife Linda Dominico, Kim M. and her husband Ron Carroll, Valerie J. and her husband William O’Connor and Lori A. Dominico. She was the devoted grandmother of Samantha, Georgia, Connor and Eric; and the great-grandmother of Gaige, Grayson and Deacon. She will be sadly missed by her sister, Betty; brother, Bill; sister-in-law Betty; as well as numerous close friends. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Pickering Manor in Newtown for the care and love extended to their mother. Even though she was only there for a short time, she was known as the “Life of the Party.” Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday, July 8, 2021, at JAMES J. DOUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME INC., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056, where her funeral service will be held at noon. Interment will held in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Dominico’s name may be made to Ivin’s House, 80 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067 or to the Bucks County Free Library.
