Doris was raised by her beloved surrogate aunt and uncle, Angeline and Louis Bonadio, who had several children. Doris attended school in Vanderbilt. She worked in the sewing factory making uniforms for the troops for World War II in Connellsville until she met the love of her life, Fred Fal Sr., who is deceased. They were married 64 years. They lived in Monessen and raised four children. Doris always welcomed family and friends for coffee in her kitchen for good discussion around the table. Surviving are daughters, Joanne Joseph of Rostraver Township, Laurette (Don) Legg of Milford, Del., and LouAnn (Lenny) Kurowsky of Monessen: daughter-in-law, Diane Fal of Monessen; five grandchildren, Jerry, Cassie, Chelsey, Donnie and Camrynn; and five great-grandchildren, Giovanni, Tamir, Tai’lyn, Frankie Bella and Legend; and her dog, Charger. Deceased family members are son, Fred Fal Jr.; infant granddaughter Angeline; grandson, Camren; son-in-law, Jon Joseph; and siblings, Thomas and Evelyn. She loved her cousins whom she was raised with and considered them as brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, the time of the blessing service, on Tuesday, June 8, with Father Michael Crookston officiating. Entombment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. Arrangements handled by RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., Monessen. In lieu of flowers, Doris always supported St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Online condolences are accepted at rhomefuneralhome.com.
