Charlotte E. Dickie, 93, of Cranberry Township, formerly of New Eagle, died Monday, April 26, 2021, in Apple Blossom Senior Living, Moon Township. She was born Feb. 5, 1928, in New Eagle, the daughter of Charles and Mary Komar Muntan. Charlotte was a graduate of Monongahela High School. She was employed in the kitchen at Charleroi-Monessen Hospital and retired as a ward clerk at the Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church of Monongahela, where she formerly held the role of deacon, trustee and was a member of the Gibson Class and 3Ms. While residing in Cranberry Township, she attended Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church, where she participated in the Women’s Sunday School Class and Ladies Lunch and Learn. She was a member of Mon Valley Rebekah Lodge No. 82 of Gastonville, Monongahela AARP Chapter 2563 and was active in the Monongahela Senior Citizens Center. Charlotte is survived by three sons, Robert Charles Dickie and wife Lorraine of The Woodlands, Texas, William Dickie Jr. and wife Priscilla of Beverly Hills, Fla., and Mark Dickie and wife Soraya of Aliquippa; daughter, Lorraine Dickie Cowan and husband David, with whom she made her home; seven grandchildren, Sean Dickie and wife Eskedar, Shannon Dickie Prendergast and husband Mike, Ian Dickie, David Cowan, Christina Cowan, Ashley Esworthy and husband Gary and Kayleigh Dickie; five great-grandchildren, Sophie and Sydney Dickie, Justin and Dylan Prendergast and Nora Esworthy; sister, Barbara Jean Muntan of Charleroi; and brother, Robert Muntan and wife Sharon of Monongahela. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Dickie Sr., who died Sept. 27, 2004; three brothers, Charles, William and James Muntan; and two sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Franks and April Roberts. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 West Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at noon Saturday, May 1, 2021, at First Presbyterian Church, 609 Chess St., Monongahela with the Rev. Mark Woomer officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 609 Chess St., Monongahela, PA 15063; the Monongahela Area Library, 813 W. Main St., Monongahela, PA 15063 or Mon Valley Rebekah Lodge No. 82, IOOF Hall, 3684 Finleyville-Elrama Road, Finleyville, PA 15332.
