Kelly Lee Wellman – formerly of Charleroi

Kelly Lee Wellman, 66, formerly of Charleroi, passed away on Jan. 4, 2021. Born on April 12, 1954, he was the son of the late Jack Wellman and Nancy Wellman, who survives, of Ava, Mo. He was a devout Roman Catholic who prayed the rosary daily to the Blessed Virgin Mary. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1977, after being stationed in Germany. In addition to his mother, Kelly is survived by his son, Michael Wellman, of Ava, Mo.; daughter, Jennifer Hernandez, of Ponder, Texas; twin brother, Kerry Wellman, of California; brother, Kirk Wellman, of Colorado; sister, Kristie (Mark) Tate, of Ava, Mo.; grandson, Tyler Hernandez; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and longtime friend, Larry Cowell, of Charleroi. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his wife, Joanne Wellman; and brother, Kraig Wellman. Graveside services will take place in Monongahela Cemetery at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11.
