Frances C. Turkovich – Monessen

Frances C. Turkovich, 61, of Monessen, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020, in Mon Valley Care Center. She was born on Jan. 14, 1959, in North Charleroi, a daughter of the late John A. and Mary Cocca Turkovich Sr. She was a life long resident of Monessen and was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Frances had worked at Monongahela Valley Hospital for 30-plus years. She was an avid baker, cook and die-hard Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan. Frances touched many lives throughout the years and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be sorely missed by all. Surviving are her loving aunt, Rita Cocca of Monessen; three brothers, Anthony and wife Peggy Turkovich of Hunker, Michael and wife Brenda Turkovich of Madison, and Donald and wife Michelle Turkovich of Dunlevy; four sisters, Darlene and husband Dennis Hackinson of Monessen, Sherri and husband Bernie Fertall of Monessen, Susan Turkovich and Mary Marsden of Monessen; sister-in-law, Linda Dolan Turkovich of Monessen; god-daughter, Mary Ann Hackinson; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John A. “Butchie” Turkovich; her nephew, Chad Fertall; and her brother-in-law, Bill Marsden. A private family viewing was held at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, followed by a funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment followed in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
