Governor Wolf Wednesday announced he has lifted the ban on spectators at interscholastic sports events.
So, the bright side is fans can be in the stands for local football and soccer games this fall. On the downside, though, the governor said stringent limits on the amount of fans will remain.
Indoor events remain limited to 25 individuals only and outdoor events are allowed no more than 250, with facilities not exceeding half capacity.
According to the governor’s “guidance” the numbers don’t exclude anyone.
“All individuals present at the facility at which such activities are held count towards gathering limitations and must comply with face covering order and social distancing guidelines.”
As a result, football games may be slightly attended by fans, if at all.
