Body discovered in Renziehausen Park

Two people are in custody and Allegheny County homicide detectives are looking for a third person after a woman was found dead in McKeesport’s Renziehausen Park Thursday morning.
McKeesport police and paramedics were called to the parking lot of the park’s deck hockey complex at 9:44 a.m. in response to a call about an unresponsive person in the woods. Authorities discovered a black female in a yellow sun dress near a heavily-used trail adjacent to the parking lot.
The woman, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Allegheny County Homicide Unit’s preliminary investigation shows the victim may have died in a place other than the park and was transported in a vehicle to where she was found. An initial examination showed signs of strangulation, according to ACPD Insp. Andrew Schurman.
