Bessie ‘Betty’ Dean – Roscoe

Bessie “Betty” Dean, 92, of Roscoe, died on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family. Born in California, Pa., on Oct. 18, 1926, a daughter of George and Lena Inks Campbell. Betty was a member of the Eastern Star No. 205 and the Margaret E. Caven Shrine No. 42. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Loyal and Jane Dean of Roscoe and Thomas and Marla Dean of Fayette City; two grandchildren, Clayton and wife Lauren Dean of Reisterstown, Md., and Meghan Dean of Wexford; and a great-granddaughter, Maisie Dean; and several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Loyal Dean Sr.; three brothers, Robert, George and Franklin Campbell; and two sisters, Dorothy White and Thelma Tyhonas. Betty’s family would like to thank the wonderful caretakers for the services they provided to her. They are Marcy, Lisa, Melanie, Ann and Jamie. They would also like to thank the nurses of Anova hospice. Per Betty’s wishes there will be no public visitation. Interment will take place in Howe Cemetery, Long Branch.
