Legends of Legion Field unite

The grandstands are gone. So is the scoreboard. There are no lines on the grass field. And the old-school goal posts are standing, but showing signs of rust and decay.
Yet, venerable Legion Field had never hosted as many stars in its storied history as it did Friday evening.
Former star athletes from four decades (1950s-1980s) from Donora, Ringgold and Mon Valley Catholic were all together – in their replica game jerseys – for one more shining moment.
They would walk through the tunnel from the dressing room to the field.
