Mon Valley Career and Technology Center students are proving once again what it means to be a part of the wolf pack by using their crafts to benefit their community.
While the students at the CTC are not new to community outreach, their most recent project is getting eye-catching attention along Fallowfield Avenue in Charleroi in front of the John K. Tener Library.
Library Director Tony Zbyl said she hopes the new sign designed and crafted by Carpentry Teacher Jeremy Reppert’s students will grab the attention of residents and people passing by.
Zbyl said the old sign hadn’t been updated for nearly 20 years and was no longer an accurate representation of the library’s culture.
“It just did not fit with our building anymore,” Zbyl said. “It had been there since before 2000 and we have just not had enough funding to update or replace it.”
