There’s definitely no denying the rivalry between Ringgold and Belle Vernon Area, regardless of the sport.
Tonight at the John DiVirgilio Sports Complex in Rostraver, the Rams (10-3, 9-1) and Leopards (7-5, 6-4) meet for round two of the 2019 baseball season.
Defending state champion Ringgold took the first meeting April 10 with a 4-3 win. It was the first victory in the Rams’ current seven-game winning streak. They’ve won 10 of their last 11 games.
The Rams’ win Monday came in walk-off fashion against second-place Thomas Jefferson.
