EF girls claim team title

While it wasn’t at its normal venue, the Scott Frederick Mid Mon Classic is a home away from home for Elizabeth Forward’s Bri Spirnak.
The Pitt recruit won the girls javelin event for the fourth consecutive year, again a key component in the Warrior girls claiming the team title with a cumulative total of 116.50 points.
While her throw wasn’t near her best, measuring 139 feet, 9 inches, Spirnak said she sees improvement over the past few events.
“I am a little frustrated, but it isn’t close to the 151 I threw last year,” Spirnak said.
