Mistakes costly in Cougars’ loss to McGuffey

In an early season battle of section co-leaders, Charleroi literally handed one to McGuffey Friday at Vets Field.
The Cougars made enough mental and physical mistakes for several games in the 7-6 loss in Section 3-3A.
“We just made too many mistakes,” said Charleroi coach Luke Mollis. “We missed signs, made errors … it was just one thing after another and it cost us.”
Charleroi committed six errors in the field, including four leading directly to runs for the Highlanders (3-2, 2-0).
