Louise Marie Talbert – Arlington, Va., formerly of Charleroi ​

Louise Marie Talbert passed from this life at Virginia Hospital Center, Arlington, Va., on March 8, 2019, after a brief illness. Louise was born in Charleroi on Jan. 25, 1926, the daughter of Mary V. Levy and Michael Lombardi, both of Charleroi. After graduating high school in 1943, she trained as a registered nurse at Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, under the United States World War II Cadet Nurses Corps program and served the profession at Mountain Home Veterans Hospital, Johnson City, Tenn., Charleroi-Monessen Hospital and the Monessen operations of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel as the head nurse. In her lifetime, Louise was an active member of  the Mon Valley Nurses Association, the Athene Club and the Mon Valley Chapter of the Pittsburgh Opera. An avid golfer, she was a member of the Elks Ladies Golf League of Monessen and the Chippewa Ladies Golf League. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Peters and partner Alexander Shulkin of Arlington, Va.; and her granddaughter, Ariel Peters and husband Andrew Newman of New York, N.Y.​ Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2019, in the Monongahela Cemetery with the Rev.
