The Charleroi Medical Center will host the Roscoe Lions Club broom sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, at 1200 McKean Ave., Charleroi.
Community members are invited to stop by and support this longstanding Lions club fundraiser, which helps fund a variety of charitable programs and community service initiatives throughout the region.
The Lions club International organization is one of the world’s largest service organizations, dedicated to serving communities through volunteerism, charitable giving, and local service projects. Lions members support important causes including vision care, hunger relief, youth programs, disaster assistance, diabetes awareness, and aid for individuals and families in need.
This year’s sale will feature the Lions’ popular handcrafted brooms. Large brooms will be available for $19, and regular brooms will be available for $15. Proceeds from the sale help the Roscoe Lions Club continue its mission of providing support and assistance to local residents and community organizations.
“The Charleroi Medical Center is proud to partner with the Roscoe Lions Club in promoting community service and helping improve the quality of life throughout the Mon Valley. Residents are encouraged to stop by, purchase a broom, and support the valuable work being done by the Lions Club,” according to a press release. “Every broom purchased helps support programs that make a positive difference in our community.”
