Warriors stay in playoff hunt by beating Waynesburg

Elizabeth Forward kept its playoff hopes alive and ended its six-game losing streak with a 76-67 victory over Waynesburg Central in Section 3-4A play Tuesday night. 

Chase Vaughn poured in a team-high 26 points for the Warriors (6-13, 2-6), who are now tied for fourth place in the section standings with Waynesburg and Belle Vernon Area. 

Chase Whatton finished with 16 points while Pat Filson and Evan Lewis had 13 and 11, respectively. 

Lucas Garber ripped the nets for a game-high 38 points for the Raiders (9-10, 2-6).
