LaVaughn Coughenour Roberts

ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP LaVaughn Coughenour Roberts, 96, of Rostraver Township, started a new journey on Sund a y , Sept. 20, 2026. Her ministry on Earth was complete, and although her body grew weaker, her mind remained clear and her spirit was strong. LaVaughn’s faith and love were the foundations of her life. She was very aware that God had a beautiful place prepared for her to reunite with those who have passed before her. LaVaughn was a lifelong member of the Community of Christ Church. She knelt next to her bed in prayer every single day until her body was unable to do so. From that time on, although she could no longer kneel, she always continued to pray. After graduating from Donora High School, she was hired as a bookkeeper at Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company on the North Side of Pittsburgh. She was quite the fashionista.
