The Mid Mon Valley Transit Authority will operate expanded service Thursday and Friday during the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh.

The authority’s plans include additional service that will operate later in the evening to offer outbound trips back to the Mon Valley.

All regularly scheduled Commuter A trips will continue to operate as normal throughout the event, including Saturday service. Express 1 and Express 2 routes and Cal Commuter service will be suspended Thursday and Friday.

The fare for the Draft Express and Commuter A service will be $4 one-way.

“We’re excited to provide service for an event of this scale. Our Draft Express service is designed to give riders a convenient and reliable way to travel from the City following the evening events,” said MMVTA Executive Director Ashley Seman (Altemare). “We encourage riders to plan ahead and check our website for schedules and updates. This is a great opportunity to take advantage of public transit during a major regional event.”

The MMVTA Draft Express Route to and from Pittsburgh on Thursday and Friday, with a special departure time at 10 p.m. from Pittsburgh, will include the following stops:

• East Busway – Bus Stop D.

• Smithfield Street and 6th Avenue.

• Smithfield Street and Forbes Avenue.

• Smithfield Street and 3rd Avenue.

• End of Smithfield Bridge at the Landmark Building.

• Route 88 and Brightwood Road (opposite Walmart).

• Library – T Crossing.

• Crookham Park and Ride.

• Monongahela – Main and Third streets.

• North Charleroi – MMVTA Transit Center.

• Charleroi – McKean and 5th Street.

• Monessen – Schoonmaker and Ontario (bus shelter).

• Donora – McKean Avenue and Sixth Street.

“Events like this bring a lot of excitement to the region, and we’re proud to play a role in helping people get where they need to go safely and efficiently,” Seman said.
