Area woman killed in city shooting

A Wilmerding woman was fatally shot late Sunday, according to Allegheny County Police.

The victim was identified as Lisa Sharnell Epps, 50, by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Emergency crews were called at about 8:50 p.m. to the 500 block of Pirl Street. Responders found Epps, along with an adult male, with gunshot wounds, police said.

Epps was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead. The male victim was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition, according to police.
