Monessen students help plant trees

The Monessen Shade Tree Commission recently received trees through TreePennsylvania’s Fall 2025 Bare Root Tree grant program. The Shade Tree Commission celebrated its Arbor Day on Saturday by adding 10 trees to the city’s tree inventory. Over the past four years, more than 55 new trees have been planted throughout municipal public spaces.
